Hijab Wrapping Styles

Everyone find their own way of wrapping their hijab, but there are some basic methods for wrapping different types of hijabs. Here we've laid out how to wrap the most common styles of hijab, so if you're new to wearing a hijab, fret not! Just follow our easy to use guides for the easy way to wrap your hijab.

Rectangular Hijab

Available in a staggering array of colours and styles, rectangular hijabs are one of the easiest types to wear. They can be wrapped in a hundred different ways, but here is our fool-proof method for a neat, stylish rectangular hijab.

Step One:

Put on an underscarf if you wish. Place the hijab on your head with one side longer than the other.

Step Two:

Pin the hijab neatly under your chin.

Step Three:

Take the longer side and wrap it under your chin and over the top of your head.

Step Four:

Secure the end with a pin, or simply tuck it into the rest of the hijab. Voila!

Square Hijab

Wrapping a square hijab is super simple, just follow our three simple steps:

Step One:

Fold your hijab into a triangle and place it on your head with the folded edge at the front and one side longer than the other. This will make the hijab cover your chest more.

Step Two:

Pin the hijab under your chin.

Step Three:

Take the longer end around under your chin and over your shoulder. You can either pin this behind you or tuck it underneath your scarf like in the picture.
