• Keep it light, you're going to be wearing your headscarf all day, so don't go overboard with wool headscarves. It is better to wear a regular headscarf with warm clothing that you can take off when you go inside.
• Invest in a scarf, not the one on your head - a woolly winter scarf! You can always wrap a classic winter scarf over your hijab. If you want a streamlined look choose simple colours, or for versatility choose a wool pashmina that you can use as a winter scarf or wrap around your shoulders like a shawl.
• Make the most of covering up. Once the weather gets cold, everyone around you will be trying to wrap up warm. This is a great time to buy long-sleeved items and enjoy being protected against the elements!
